Today, we are announcing the upcoming availability of an exciting new feature in the Power BI service: we are giving dataset owners full control over the scheduled cache refresh cadence of their DirectQuery and live connection datasets.
Today, I am happy to announce public preview of email subscriptions for report pages. This new feature allows you to subscribe to emails of the report pages that matter most to you, with just a few clicks. Once you’re subscribed, Power BI will regularly send screenshots of that report page directly to your inbox. The image in your inbox will show up exactly as it does in Power BI, and include a link to the report where you can drill into any interesting findings. Thanks to email subscriptions, it’s never been so easy to stay up-to-date about the data that matter most.
Earlier this year, we wrote about how to leverage the Power BI REST APIs to create real-time dashboards in Power BI. Ever since, we’ve seen thousands of Power BI users engage with our real-time capabilities. As a result, today I am happy to announce the preview availability of a suite of features which make it even easier to stream real-time data to Power BI, and to see that data light up in your dashboards. Designed for easy setup, these new features show our commitment towards allowing our users to quickly gain insights from data of all shapes, sizes and velocities.
